Registration for Livingston Soccer Club's Winter Indoor Soccer Program is now open. Please register on-line at www.lsclub.com (use the Register tab in the upper right corner of the site) Registration ends November 23rd.
Who Can Play? Boys and girls who are currently in Grades 1-9. Livingston residents only!
When Are The Games? I don't have the exact dates yet - but it's likley we'll play on one Sunday in December, and then seven Sundays in January and February. As many of you know, the schedule may change since we share the facility with the National Guard and their needs change. We may have to play a game or two on a Saturday. We don't know yet.
Exact times for age groups are not set until we see how many teams we will have - but for reference, the last year:
1/2nd grade boys started at 11:00 or 12:00;
3/5th grade girls started at 12:00;
3/5th grade boys started at 1:00 or 2:00;
6/9th grade coed started at 3:00 or 4:00; and
1/2nd grade girls started at 4:00.
Where Are The Games? All games will be played at the Soccer Palace, located at 1315 Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange (approx 3 miles from Livingston Town Center) The Soccer Palace provides artifical turf fields. We play with an indoor ball, which is softer than a standard soccer ball.
What Does It Cost? $90 per child. Each child will receive a team shirt to keep.
Practices? Teams do not hold practices.
Coaches? Please sign up to coach. It can't be easier. No practices! Up to three coaches can sign up to coach together.
Player Requests? We will honor ONE mutual request for kids to play together at any age. Of course, if parents are coaching together - that counts as the mutual request. Enter your mutual teammate reuquest in the SPECIAL REQUEST box.
What Must Kids Wear? No cleats! Sneakers or special turf shoes are good. Shin guards are mandatory. Any type of pants/shorts are fine. No jewelry of any kind!
What Grades Play Together? It depends on how many kids register at each grade level. Last year we combined grades 1/2 boys, 1/2 girls, 3/5 boys, 3/5 girls, 6/9 coed. If we have enough girls for a separate 6/9th grade league we may do that.
